What Satan Really Wants…

Candid Review of Satan’s Purposes, Goals and Intentions Regarding Humans

It’s No Wonder That…

No wonder the workers hold that one must go through them to access Heaven, even though the Bible states Jesus is the ONLY mediator between God and His children (1 Tim 2:5)…
~~~Satan’s chief goal is to come between God and man.
No wonder we were taught to revere the messenger above the message…
~~~Satan’s goal is to diminish and disguise what is really important.

No wonder the friends and workers claim it’s “God’s Only Right/True Way”…
~~~Satan loves for people to reject, refute and contradict the Words of Jesus, who said, “…whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
No wonder we saw so many imperfections in the so-called “perfect way”…
~~~It was the creation of a mere man! Satan isn’t capable of perfection, but God certainly is!

No wonder we were taught that we will be saved according to our works…
~~~Satan didn’t want us to trust in the only one who COULD save us: JESUS
No wonder we were encouraged to put meeting attendance before a brother in need…
~~~Satan doesn’t want love shown to anyone; loving others is how God’s children are known and recognized.

No wonder we rarely heard good works being emphasized, while major emphasis was fixed on outer works that could be seen by men, like attendance, outward appearance, rejecting certain activities or possessions…
~~~Satan doesn’t want folks advertising their goodness. Showing love one for another–that’s an obvious mark of a child of God!
No wonder we were led to believe Jesus was just a man…
~~~Satan will do anything to diminish or discredit Jesus.

No wonder we didn’t even know what true worship of God means or entails…
~~~Satan makes it a point to obscure that!
No wonder we didn’t know what our doctrine or belief was…
~~~It would defeat Satan’s purposes to make God’s doctrine PLAIN to us!

No wonder Jesus and God are praised so little, and the workers and meetings are praised so highly…
~~~Satan’s aim is to have for himself the glory that only God is due. Satan never gives Jesus the glory that is His due–always less. 2 Cor 4:4: “in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn (upon them). (ASV)
No wonder the workers are not allowed to marry…
~~~This is a doctrine of devils Paul warns about in 1 Tim 4:1-4.

No wonder they don’t celebrate Christmas and Easter religiously…
~~~It’s not on Satan’s agenda to appreciate or recognize Jesus as being special!
No wonder it is OK to participate in Halloween…
~~~That’s the day Satan is celebrated and worshipped!

No wonder we were to commit our testimonies and sermons to memory; and notes for sermons and testimonies were taboo…
~~~This limits the power a message could contain. There’s much less spiritual food that way. Can’t remember as much.
No wonder we were spiritually starving…
~~~Satan isn’t in the business of supplying soul food.

No wonder we were encouraged to deny self; suffering must precede the glory; heard so much about persecution, tribulation, sacrifice etc…
~~~God wants His children to have joy, gladness, a well of water ever springing—Satan wants the exact opposite.
No wonder we were taught this method of fellowship and ministry was God’s truth…
~~~Satan is the father of lies.

No wonder so many things “weren’t for the friends to know”…
~~~Satan works in darkness and abhors the light.
No wonder the verse about not letting the right hand know about the left was used out of context…
~~~Satan can effectively shut down a whole lot of generosity/giving that way, which God prizes.

No wonder replies to our questions didn’t ring with truth and were full of diversions, red herrings, distractions, evasions, fallacies, bad logic and cop-outs…
~~~Satan doesn’t play fair–and he has a lot to hide.
No wonder the friends despair, feel fearful, miserable and hopeless…
~~~Satan wants to convince us there is no God of love and that we are damaged beyond repair.

No wonder Satan’s power is regarded with fear and trembling…
~~~Satan wouldn’t want us to place all our trust and confidence in the Lord.
No wonder we felt no security concerning our eternal destination…
~~~Satan’s greatest weapon is fear.

No wonder we rarely felt “the joy of the Lord”…
~~~Satan is a robber and a thief, and he takes great delight in stealing our joy.
No wonder the “unity” in the group is proudly acclaimed…
~~~Satan has successfully blinded some into believing that uniformity is the same as unity.

No wonder we were told over and over that “The friends are the happiest people in the world;” that all other happiness is “false” and that so-called happy Christians are only deluded…
~~~Without Satan’s brainwashing, many of us might have given up long ago.
No wonder submission and obedience were harped on…
~~~Satan encourages a passive mindset.

No wonder the Holy Spirit was not promoted or understood correctly…
~~~Satan is the author of confusion.
No wonder we were cautioned not to read Christian literature…
~~~Satan doesn’t want us to know that there is a vast wonderland “out there” of powerfully, enlightening and encouraging material written by people we didn’t even consider Christians.

No wonder we were taught “This is God’s only true way”…
~~~If this lie is exposed, Satan’s power and hold is broken, and the friends are set free to leave.
No wonder we were motivated more by fear tactics than love…
~~~Satan uses fear to enslave men.

No wonder we were strongly encouraged to keep everything hidden and covered up…
~~~We buy Satan’s devious strategy that way. Of course, he wouldn’t encourage walking in the light (1 John 1:7).
No wonder “truth” was not the workers’ chief priority (even though the name they are called by is “the truth”)…
~~~”O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?” Acts 13:10

No wonder we thought it was normal not to feel good about ourselves…
~~~It’s Satan’s goal that we would be miserable. Jesus’ goal is joy and gladness for His children.
No wonder so many of the friends and workers are suffering from depression and having nervous breakdowns…
~~~Satan is miserable and misery loves company.

No wonder giving to the poor, doing good works, and charitable acts for others were discouraged unless it was for friends and/or workers…
~~~Satan wants to prevent us from receiving the blessing of giving and from laying up treasures in heaven from doing good works.
PRAYER: “I renounce you, Satan, and all your works, and all your ways.”
